I’m more than what you see.
There’s more to know about me beneath the attitude and sass I may display.
I’ve been through many life experiences and they have created a new version of me.
Before I thought no one would understand the pain I was going through because I wouldn’t show it. I would just let things be.
My parents split at a young age, I had friends stab me in the back, and I had to do a lot of growing up with not much support.
People make ‘divorce’ to be this big tragedy, but I’ve come to realize that it was for the best for my parents to not be together. My dad took the role of being two parents and has made the life I have right now possible.
This was a huge change for me, considering it happened at a young age and I was trying to make sense of everything.
My middle school years weren’t the best either, because my circle of friends was always changing. I always came to school to only hear rumors made about me, people were creative so I’ll give them credit for that.
When I finally reached my high school years, I opened myself up to a new set of experiences and made new connections.
Some new experiences I had were I joined cheer sophomore year, I went to more concerts and I made new friends that I never thought I’d be as close to as I am right now.
People would claim that they know me or think they know me and would assume I have it easy.
Others may have this assumption, since my hardships don’t really occur at school unless it’s stressing on assignments, but what they don’t know is that more problems happen outside of school.
At times, it’d be nice if I had more than just my dad to talk to because I wouldn’t want to trouble him with all my worries.
The truth is I don’t think anyone ever had it easy and I feel that everyone has their own struggles.
There’s really more to a person when you hear their back story, or learn the chapters of their life.
I like who I am today. I like the life I live because I found different categories my happiness could be split up into.
Everything I went through brought me to the current point I am in my life right now.
I believe that everyone has a purpose and you discover yours as you go through life.
