In many relationships couples always struggle with each other; There’s lack of trust, doubt, interest, respect, and love amongst one another. All of this causes the couple to lose the love and compassion they had with each other.
I had a situation like this with my boyfriend. However, we managed to fix our problems and stay happy together.
My boyfriend and I have endured hardships as well as complicated situations that have been instigated by lack of trust and self doubt with one another. It would get so bad to the point where we would overthink every small argument or passive aggressive comments. It would lead us to assume that it was our way of trying to end the relationship.
There were moments where I would contemplate if he would lose interest in me while he would think that he wasn’t good looking enough for me, which caused him to feel like I would go and look for someone “more handsome.”
Even though we went through our set of rough patches, we managed to overcome all of the obstacles that were thrown our way and maintain a relationship that’s stronger than ever.
Despite all of our shortcomings, our love has grown sturdier as well as tougher and will not fall as easily as before. We have this strong connection that leads to happiness. These powerful feelings that we have acquired for each other over time has led us to persevere, grow, and denounce any negativity that crosses our minds.
One of my friends has had the same struggles. She has lack of trust, she feels that her boyfriend hides things from her, and he doesn’t tell her much, causing her to have this problem. However, they talk it out. They tell each other what they expect from each other, like honesty. Her boyfriend puts a lot of effort to make sure that she’s happy in the relationship.
Adults can have struggles too, in fact the whole world has struggles. Some people fix them and some don’t. I see it all the time with my parents. My parents have never fought. It’s rare when my parents argue. They argue about bills or about their job, but I never hear that they struggle with trust or doubting one another. My dad respects my mom a lot and he gives her all the love she needs. My parents were meant to be and nothing can break them apart.
They keep their relationship strong by supporting each other. My mom started working because she didn’t want my dad to be the only one working to feed us and give us the things we wanted.
Knowing that your significant other has trust issues, lack of self doubt, and is losing their love and compassion they had towards you, hurts. It damages you and your heart. It makes everything overwhelming and it makes relationships fall apart easily.
Having the motivation to save the relationship will always be a way to show that you care and that you want the best for both of you. Changing the way you acted or how you should’ve acted can make the relationship last. Gaining the love, but this time, in a powerful loving way.
