When someone talks about their other half my brain used to automatically think that they were talking about their lover. However, now when people mention their other half my brain thinks about other people like their best friend, a family member, etc.
My cousin is my other half and without her I’d probably go crazy since she is the one who always talks some sense into me even though she lives 3 hours away.
Whenever we get together it’s the most fun I have until the next time I see her which can sometimes be more than 5 months yet we make sure to FaceTime at least once a month and spill all the chisme.
My favorite memory with her would be when we decided to camp outside of her house in a tent that took forever to put up and at the end it was all lopsided.
We ended up getting in trouble the next morning for laughing too loud and letting the dogs sleep with us.
My best memories are with her and I wouldn’t have it any other way because she has always been there for me and understands me in a way that no one else could. She knows the real me, not the school me or home me.
She has been with me through every heartbreak, tears, laughter, anxiety attacks, you name it, she's there. Sometimes I think I don’t tell her I love her enough but I can’t let it get to her head or she’ll use it against me.
I like to think I’m lucky to be her cousin and best friend all in one, we balance each other out and that’s the thing I love most.
