Hello, my name is Estelito and I am 14 years old. I have been playing video games ever since I was 11 years old. Video games are a huge part of my daily life because they have helped me connect with many people who I see as true friends.
It was about three years ago when I started playing video games. The first game that I played was Pokemon. I played pokemon X and Y, followed by Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. Then I started to play minecraft on my phone and eventually got a PS4. I then started to play games like Fortnite, Destiny, and Warface.
Some people that I frequently play video games with are my friends Kevin, Erick, Andy and Nathan. Some of our favorite games are Fortnite, Neverwinter, and as mentioned previously, Warface.
Playing video games sometimes leaves a negative effect on my emotions. Some frustrations I experience when playing is when someone jumps through your builds and they kill you. Or when someone has a rocket in the beginning of the match then you die by the player. It also bothers me when I land on top of a chest and get a sniper in the first round and then a person kills me with a better weapon.
But games also help me feel positive. They help me by having fun with my friends. We like making jokes or trolling each other. Video games can bring out our sense of humor. According to my friend Reynaldo, he said “I made friends by being funny and polite.”
According to Medical News Today, they are talking about how video games affect the brain by having a positive effect on children’s life by having fun with their friends. Another thing that affects the brain is first person shooter games like Call of Duty Blacks ops 4, Fortnite, and Grand theft auto V.
These games can affect the brain by causing aggression, violence, and addiction. One evidence that I got from ABC News was a person in Mississippi River stole a car while it wasn’t his and he smashed into nine cars and injured 2 personnel then crashed into a fence then a wall. This behavior was influenced by a very popular and violent game, Grand theft auto V.
The website Medical News Today talks about the 150 million people in the United States that play 3 hours a day per week and I, am one of those people. I usually play about 2 and a half to 3 hours in the week but on the weekend I play 5-6 hours.
