Conspiracy theories have been around for as long as humans have communicated. Many people search conspiracy theories because they enjoy dark or scary stories—like aliens being real, robots trying to be humans, and the dark web—or simply because the stories are fun and mess with your mind.
Other people watch Shane Dawson, a YouTuber who uploads conspiracy theory videos and explains them to the viewers. He explains which ones are real and which could have been made up. He started talking about theories back in 2015, and, guess what? Conspiracy theories are still not over.
People believe that the government is making us dumber. Many people disagree about this and some people do agree, but let’s be honest—people seem to be becoming dumber. People like the Paul brothers are making horrible choices and showing it to ten-year-olds. YouTubers are filming themselves eating Tide Pods, and many more things.
Another conspiracy is that our government is bombing its own country. Some ask, why wouldn’t the president bomb another place when he can bomb our own without the whole world knowing? Just think of this, why would there be five fires in California in only on year…
“Maybe the president was bombing us,” said Eric J.Michua, a fourteen-year-old freshman at Yerba Buena High School High School. He said, “I feel like they are using lasers on purpose if they are bombing their own people, especially homes of celebrities who called him names/made fun of him.”

According to Paul Kersey as posted on Debate.org, he talks about how celebrities are a huge distraction to us. He gives the following example: “when the president would do something bad, a couple days later, Britney Spears shaved her head and went "crazy.”
Have you also noticed that when something is happening to the world, some celebrity news happens? Kersey also says that the Kardashians “distract the masses from all the evils in the world. They just better not ‘rock the boat’" Once entertainers begin to question government or protest, that's when Hollyweird loses interest in them. Or in some cases, targets them.”
When you read theories, you feel like you’re getting sucked in. Its like digging a big hole and trying to get out, but you can’t until you rest. Everytime I read, I feel darkness surrounding me. It’s weird because then I start hearing noises. I wake up at the most weirdest times because I always feel like dark eyes are watching me and then they disappear, but many people see different things. Estefania Negrete, a junior at Yerba Buena, said she feels like “the government is watching her through the camera,” when she leaves her laptop open..
Talking to people who don’t believe you or conspiracy theories is crazy because when I talk to people and mention any theory I believe, they are quick to judge me. Their face reaction screams, “Wow! Really? I don’t care,” or they always interrupt me.
Whenever I read conspiracy theories, I feel like I can’t be alone. Sometimes I can’t even read them because I feel like I'm going to repeat everything. Sometimes I feel paranoid. I couldn’t care less about what people think.
